CANARANA – Deputado Dr. Eugênio de Paiva (PSB) entregou na quarta-feira (06) 50 kits de ferramentas e equipamentos da agricultura familiar para sitiantes e chacareiros do Assentamento Suya, em Canarana, no Vale do Araguaia.

O kit tem 16 equipamentos e ferramentas: pulverizador costal, garrafa térmica, pá, serrote, enxada, enxadão, picareta, rastelo, facão, foice, carrinho de mão, troquês para armador, martelo, machado, balde e cavador.

Iracema Clara de Souza foi uma das contempladas do Assentamento Suya. Natural de Patos de Minas (MG), e está em Mato Grosso desde 2005. Ela trabalhou em fazendas em Goiás antes de vir para o Estado.

Iracema é proprietária da chácara com o irmão. Ambos têm uma área de 12 hectares, com 8 hectares abertos, onde criam galinha e porco. E plantam mandioca, pinha, laranja, limão, manga, caju, abacaxi, abóbora, melancia e morango. Iracema avalia como positiva a entrega do kit.

“Para mim foi bom. Porque não tenho condição de comprar, sou fraca (sem dinheiro), aqui não tem serviço. E se eu não tenho, tenho que pegar emprestado. Essas ferramentas vão me servir no dia a dia”, afirma. “Posso capinar minha horta, meu mandiocal, minha plantação de abacaxi”, completa.

‘Ferramentas em boa hora’

Outra contemplada pelo kit no assentamento Suya foi Márcia Aparecida Leite, que está há 35 anos em Mato Grosso. Ela também tem uma área de 12 hectares e usa 8 hectares para cria de gado leiteiro. Márcia entrega leite na cidade, em média de 50 e 60 litros por dia. A produtora disse que a entrega é necessária.

“Essas ferramentas chegaram em boa hora. Nós usamos em horta, para puxar esterco do gado, para carregar ração. Todas as ferramentas entregues aqui são bem utilizadas. A gente ocupa bastante”, explica a necessidade.

“A gente até falou de comprar uma carriola ontem. Eu disse: não vai dar. Ganhamos hoje e veio bem a calhar”, cita sobre a importância do kit de ferramentas.

Ligação com Canarana

Na entrega do kit, o deputado Dr. Eugênio relembrou sua ligação direta com Canarana como médico no município e o fato de uma das suas filhas ter nascido ali.

“Eu já morei no município de Canarana. Onde eu tenho honra de ter uma filha minha nascida. Uma canaranense dentro da minha casa. Eu me sinto à vontade em Canarana”, rememorou.

“Portanto, estou muito feliz em entregar no Assentamento Suya os 50 kits. Uma articulação do vereador Sancler para nós disponibilizarmos esses kits”, afirmou. “São 16 equipamentos e ferramentas do kit que as pessoas vão ter para poder usar no dia e cuidar da sua horta e do seu quintal e não vai precisar emprestar do vizinho”, destacou o deputado.

Baiano de Jequié, João Bispo dos Santos, 67 anos, tem 64 anos em Mato Grosso, sempre  entre os municípios de Ribeirão Cascalheira, à Canarana. Ele tem uma área de 16 hectares, onde planta em 2 hectares de seringa. E tem gado de leite para queijo e requeijão. Ele planta ainda melancia, acerola, banana e laranja para consumo próprio. João Bispo tem ainda horta com cebola, alface, cenoura e beterraba.

“Esse kit me ajuda e muito. Eu precisava de uma cavadeira e não tinha, agora eu tenho. Precisava de uma picareta, eu não tinha. Pra mim é muito gratificante esse kit”, aprovou a entrega do kit.
