Na segunda-feira (09.09), a primeira-dama de Mato Grosso, Virginia Mendes, e o governador Mauro Mendes participaram do jantar de gala no Hotel Rosewood, em São Paulo, oferecido pelo príncipe saudita HRH Fahad Bin Mansour. Fahad é membro da família real saudita, com sua significativa participação em diversas atividades governamentais, econômicas e filantrópicas, está em busca de expandir suas conexões comerciais globalmente, incluindo Mato Grosso em suas relações bilaterais.

Virginia Mendes ressaltou a importância de estreitar laços com a família real saudita, enfatizando que essa oportunidade pode não apenas expandir negócios, mas também gerar benefícios sociais. “Quando uma nação prospera, todos se beneficiam. Essa conexão não apenas ampliará nossas oportunidades de negócios, mas também abrirá portas para iniciativas sociais”, destacou Virginia Mendes.

Ela também expressou sua gratidão à CEO da BGlobal Brasil, Marta Devito, e a Marcia Miguel, presidente da Ecoarts, ONG mato-grossense que une a floresta e marcas de luxo como Le Lis Blanc e Vista Alegre, promovendo a Amazônia para o mundo, pela parceria e por ajudar a destacar nosso estado como um exemplo de sustentabilidade e inovação. “Agradeço à querida Marta Devito e equipe BGlobal, e também à querida Marcia Miguel por esta parceria em promover nosso estado como referência em sustentabilidade e inovação”, agradeceu Virginia Mendes.

No evento, a primeira-dama de MT também conheceu e conversou com algumas personalidades, como o empresário e investidor Álvaro Garnero; o ex-jogador da seleção brasileira Cafu; a jornalista e escritora Mariah Moraes, que impressionou com sua simpatia e gentileza; o ex-governador de São Paulo, João Doria, e sua esposa Bia Doria; Carol Bassi; e também o coach e candidato à prefeitura de São Paulo, Pablo Marçal. “Foi uma noite muito agradável e de networking para nosso estado”, afirmou Virginia Mendes.

O governador Mauro Mendes afirmou que o contato com a Arábia Saudita é extremamente relevante e promissor. Mato Grosso, como celeiro de alimentos para o mundo e referência na produção agrícola e pecuária em diferentes segmentos, está bem posicionado para aproveitar essa cooperação internacional para alavancar projetos de desenvolvimento, comércio e investimentos em infraestrutura. “A relação com a Arábia Saudita pode potencializar projetos de desenvolvimento sustentável, comércio e inovação tecnológica”, ressaltou o governador.

Mauro Mendes também destacou que a parceria pode impulsionar projetos voltados para a sustentabilidade e a inovação. “Temos a oportunidade de promover iniciativas de desenvolvimento sustentável, inovação e tecnologia”, afirmou.

Em 2023, o príncipe Fahad foi nomeado representante do Reino da Arábia Saudita na Aliança de Jovens Empreendedores do G20, uma rede global especializada em startups que apoia jovens empreendedores e suas organizações.
