Governador elogia discussão para reduzir impostos, mas pede garantia da Petrobras que preço abaixe na bomba

O governador Mauro Mendes afirmou ser importante a discussão que ocorre no Congresso Nacional para reduzir o ICMS dos combustíveis, mas defendeu que haja garantias da Petrobras para que o preço na bomba abaixe para o consumidor.

Mauro participou da reunião com o presidente do Senado, Rodrigo Pacheco, na manhã desta quarta-feira (08.06), em Brasília, junto com outros governadores.

As propostas que tramitam no Congresso visam limitar o ICMS dos combustíveis a 17% e, no diesel e gás, zerar o imposto para posterior compensação do Governo Federal.

“Em Mato Grosso, já implantamos uma grande redução de ICMS. Na energia, era 27%, baixamos para 17%. Nas telecomunicações, era 30%, baixamos para 17%. No diesel baixamos de 17% para 16%, na gasolina de 25% para 23% e o etanol está em 12,5%, a menor alíquota do país”, relatou.

De acordo com Mauro, a iniciativa do Governo Federal é muito boa, pois todos os brasileiros sonham com uma carga tributária menor.

Porém, para o governador, se não houver alterações na proposta, há grande risco de não resolver o problema da alta dos preços e ainda causar problemas aos estados e municípios, que terão mais de R$ 100 bilhões a menos para investir em áreas como Saúde e Educação.

“Isso vai gerar uma crise fiscal nos estados e nos municípios. Se você erra a estratégia, vai tudo por água abaixo. Crise fiscal traz desconfiança, afasta investimentos e faz o dólar subir, e aí volta tudo à estaca zero”, pontuou.

Além disso, de acordo com Mauro Mendes, essa redução não traz nenhuma garantia que o preço vai abaixar na bomba e beneficiar o cidadão.

“O ICMS dos combustíveis está congelado desde o ano ado. O preço do diesel, por exemplo, o ICMS incide sobre o valor de R$ 5,20, mesmo o diesel estando acima dos R$ 7,30. E a Petrobras continuou subindo os preços. Reduzimos aqui em Mato Grosso as alíquotas, mas os preços continuaram subindo. Deixamos de arrecadar R$ 150 milhões e isso não foi para o bolso do cidadão. Quem garante que essa redução proposta agora vai chegar na bomba" >
